Another new universal remote control hardware/app combo has turned up for the iPhone called i-Got-Control. The device plugs into the charge port, has an IR database, and can learn commands from an existing remote.

Apple announced its earnings recently and posted profits that increased by 50% compared to the previous year. iPhone sales grew 100% compared to the previous year.

Walt Mossberg has been playing around with the Samsung Instinct for Sprint for a while now, and has something to say about the device. That is, it is no iPhone. Sprint is making good on their promise to spend $100 million to promote their new iPhone competitor, the Samsung Instinct. The advertisements start running on May 9th, but the commercials are now available to view on YouTube. The advertisements very obviously take aim at the iPhone, with some shots showing the two devices side by side.
