The iOS game app Dead Trigger, which went free to play not long ago, has now hit 1 million downloads. Previously, the game sold for about one dollar and downloads significantly increased when it went free to play.

Samsung is in hot water with the judge overseeing its case versus Apple after it released information publicly that had been blocked from the case in court. A new Apple patent app has surfaced that shows some of what Apple has in mind for NFC technology with the iPhone. The art in the patent application shows the iPhone pairing via NFC tech to what appears to be a Sony PS3 controller for gaming.

If you picked up your iPhone in the past and asked Siri was the best smartphone ever, the search results pulled up the Nokia Lumia 900 based on consumer reviews. It may come as no surprise that Apple tweaked those results and Nokia's smart phone isn't listed as a result any longer and Nokia is not happy about it.

According to Juniper Research while Samsung has beat Nokia and become the leading manufacturer phones globally, things aren't so clear when it comes to who's winning the smartphone race. Apple is said to be dominating Samsung on the revenue front while Samsung apparently sells more smartphones than Apple.
