Researchers are working with a modded iPhone and a nanoparticle tattoo under the skin that may prove useful for medical monitoring. The nanoparticles fluoresce when exposed to certain molecules like sodium, glucose, and oxygen to give a useful reading that can be tracked.

Withings has unveiled a new medical gadget for the iPhone that allows the tracking and monitoring of blood pressure. The iPhone has an app for storing readings and the cuff plugs into the sync port of the iPhone.
