It seems as if all the iPhone dev teams are adding everything Apple forgot, maybe that was their plan, but this time Suavphisticated from ModMyiFone has created a MMS application for the iPhone. 5% of French iPhones sold unlocked

Update: 15% of iPhones were sold on non-iPhone specific service plans, while 5% were sold unlocked Orange, who are Apple's carrier partner in France, have revealed that of the 30,000 iPhones the sold in the first five days it was on sale there, 1,500 were unlocked.  While 80% of customers took out one of the carrier's special iPhone plans, 15% chose a more generic option ... continued »

T-Mobile Germany wins locked-iPhone court battle

1.1.2 SecPack Found

According to the iPhone dev team, a SecPack has been extracted from firmware version 1.1.2 making it possible to re-flash the baseband of the phone after it has been unlocked. This means that unlocking software can now revirginize your phone with 1.1.2 and bring it back to it's original state before unlocking the phone. continued »
