Bloomberg reports that AT&T profits topped estimates on Wall Street mostly on the backs of iPhone customers and TV. I hope the booming profits mean that AT&T is set to fix its shoddy network and make iPhone users happy they use AT&T.

King.com, which focuses on skill-based games for prizes, is migrating its web-based casual games into iPhone version. Its Amazon Survival game, which is also developed into iPhone version, is a puzzle game where you should save the Amazon jungle.

Nine months old company Ngmoco has raised $10 million in a second round of funding, according to Venture Beat. Last July, the San Francisco-based iPhone game publisher raised a $5 million from Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers and Maples Investments.

Shervin Pishevar of the Social Gaming Network demonstrated how to use the iPhone or iPod touch as "virtual Wii Remotes" at the iGames Summit. Using his new iFun software, Pishevar was demonstrating the iPhone as a virtual steering wheel when playing a PC car racing game. Good even for non-gamers.

Yeah, there's no doubt that iPhone is becoming a popular gaming platform among mobile users now. There are at least two reasons: (1) the statistics of iPhones sold and games apps on the App Store; and (2) the latest features on the device's OS which enriches the upcoming gaming development.
