Everyone is just crazy about doing iPhone surveys. Perhaps we should do a survey to see how many of you have conducted a survey relating to the iPhone. Anyway, ChangeWave Research has conducted a survey to see what kind of impact the iPhone is going to have on the mobile phone industry.

Their survey shows that 9 percent of the people were either “very interested†or “somewhat likely†to purchase an iPhone for themselves when it is released in June. Another 7 percent were likely to purchase it as a gift.
Of course, with a price drop we would see a higher number of customers ready to purchase. If the recent price cut rumors were true, an extra 10 percent would buy a 4GB iPhone and twenty percent would buy an 8GB model. That’s 36% of the total number willing to purchase an iPhone if the price was right.
Tobin Smith, founder of ChangeWave Research predicts that people will move away from crappy MOTO phones to the iPhone. Other providers such as Verizon will also likely see users moving away from their services due to AT&T’s exclusive deal with Apple.

There have been quite a few polls from different research firms showing a wide range of interest in the iPhone… Some favorable – some not.
Lets Talk: “52% of the surveyed users answering that they will NOT buy an iPhone”
PiperJaffray: “85 percent of high school students said they were already familiar with the multi-function Apple gadget, and of those students, 25 percent said they’d be willing to buy one at the previously announced $500 entry point.”
