Analytics firm Flurry reports that between iOS devices and Android the week of Christmas there were 1.2 billion apps downloaded. That over a billion downloads a week mark is expected to come several times in 2012.

Nintendo is reportedly getting a Wii U book store ready and is looking to coax some iOS devs over. I hope that this might mean some Nintendo games heading to the iOS platform in return.
