T MobileT-Moble has expressed “strong interest” in carrying the iPhone in the UK. Though it appears that unless Apple can provide 3G services, they may shy away, citing that without it the Nokia N95 might be a better choice. This coming from a recent discussion with Robin O’Kelly, head of communications for T-Mobile, where she asked “Are they going to have a 3G version for Europe? It would be handicapping itself if it turned up as 2.5G.”

This is not surprising as T-Mobile also recently announced that their 3G network speeds would hopefully be up to 3.6Mbps by the end of the year.

I’d be much happier if they’d release a full widescreen iPod, and I’ll keep a separate phone.

Bill, Nokia sent me the Nokia N800 - there might be a market for a wide-screen iPod/Internet tablet. I’m still not sure if it will sell though.
