New unibody design iPhone-chromatic pictures and video rendering? [Rumor updated]

Could these be the new iPhone that Apple may announce at WWDC09 on June 8, 2009? iPhone buzz just got an anonymous tip which included a boat load of rendered images and two short video clips labeled “iPhone unibody” and “iPhone nano”.

Keep in mind that these are mere rendering of what may or may not be the real products if anything at all – so take it with a grain of salt. It’s likely however that Apple may end up offering the iPhone in a wide variety of colors similar to the iPod nano called iPhone-chromatic.

The new supposed iPhone unibody and iPhone nano design does look like something we can expect from Apple, offering a thinner and sleeker look. I personally tjink these renderings look good and of course keeping my fingers crossed that the third version of the iPhone will look this good.

We’ll bring you “live” coverage of WWDC09 keynote at http://live.slashgear.com on Monday June 8th at 10AM.  Alternatively, you can also follow http://twitter.com/followlive for the latest updates.

Update: Apparently, these images and videos are just concept designs where our tipster got them from nowhereelse.fr.  Thanks for the update Stagueve.

    Seeing these has me anticipating WWDC even more to see how close they are to these renders. These look great by the way.

    These renders look ok.
    I’m actually more curious about the name of the new iPhone. Do you guys have any idea?
    I mean, would it be something like: iPhone 3, iPhone09
    or what else?

    @Beyaban,

    There won’t be a new hardware name, not unless Apple releases a new form factor or something like that. The 2nd iPhone was called iPhone 3G because it incorporated a new hardware technology. But every other update – bigger memory, etc. has not earned a new name.

    The 3.0 name refers to the updated operating system. I’m guessing it will be presented as a new upgraded iPhone, featuring the new 3.0 software… available today for all iPhone owners (with a small upgrade fee for iPod Touch owners.)

    Thx for the answer..

    When I said iPhone 3 earlier, I ment 3rd Gen :) I’m actually going to upgrade my iPod Touch myself when the OS 3.0 comes to Sweden.

    So, you think the next iPhone’s still gonna be named iPhone 3G?
