While we already know that Cingular will be breathing life into the iPhone here in the US, places like Canada and the UK are still up in the air. With only around a month or so before the US launch, you would think they'd have things ironed out by now.

Rogers still looks like it's the only choice for Canadian customers, so you'd think negotiations would be pretty easy. However, it's an entirely different ballgame in the Europe where there are plenty of providers willing to duke it out for exclusive rights to the iPhone. At the moment it seems to be down to Vodafone and T-Mobile, with T-Mobile being favored.
Apparently the deciding factor may come down to T-Mobile's large contribution to mobile music. It will be interesting to see how much they will try to sell the iPhone for in Europe, and whether or not T-Mobile will promise no subsidies.

Any news on whether one could pop their T-Mobile sim card into the new i-Phone?
