Some of the earliest users of the iPhone 5 on the Verizon network got a bill showing a massive amount of data used. Verizon has acknowledged that there was an error that caused data to be used even when Wi-Fi was being used and Verizon promises the issue will be fixed.

Samsung has filed a lawsuit against Apple alleging that the iPhone 5 violates eight different Samsung patents. The eight patents are said to be unconnected to 4G connectivity and have to do with 3G and other utility services.
Apple is beginning to reject in-app ads that point users to non-iTunes stores. This should mean that the free apps with ads that show constantly trying to get you to purchase something outside of the App Store will disappear.
