I don’t really buy it. But that’s what the guys over at CNet are reporting. I’m sure that the random sales person at the Cingular 800 number is an honest guy, but I doubt that information such as that is going to be given out to the sales staff just yet.

Granted, Apple’s WWDC does start on the same day, but I think that is more of a coincidence anyway. It would be pretty funny since many developers would be stuck at a conference in San Fransisco and unable to stop by their local Apple store to grab one.
When do I think it will come out? It’s really hard to say, but if I were to venture a guess, I’d say the June 5. Why that date? Just a guess mostly. Though Apple does have a history of releasing products on Tuesdays, and I think that they’d love to see all of the attendees at the WWDC walking around with their shiny new iPhones. Like I said, it’s just a guess. Don’t quote me on it. (unless I’m right, then quote me all you want)
