SHAtter exploit fixes closed jailbreakme.com loophole, Verizon might not accept Apple contract, FaceTime not available in UAE

A new exploit has surfaced that reopens the loophole that Apple closed not long ago that allows the remote unlocking of iOS devices using Jailbreakme.com. The exploit is called SHAtter and will let the iPhone 4 user get iOS updates and keep carrier unlocks in place.

The rumors have been swirling about the iPhone coming to Verizon for a long time. The latest rumors have spawned concern that Verizon might not accept Apple’s contract terms in order to preserve its Android market.

iPhone fans in the UAE can get the smartphone soon, but they will not be able to get FaceTime. The feature will not be supported when the device launches in the UAE and possibly in some other Middle East locations.
