Orange has announced that it will be selling the iPhone 3G and 3GS smartphones in Europe soon. The exact launch date for the devices to come from the carrier is unknown. The announcement means that the exclusive period for O2, the current provider of the iPhone is nearing its end.

Orange hasn’t yet released information about pricing and specific availability dates. You can expect the prices to be very similar to what O2 is offering right now for the iPhone.
Orange plans to offer the iPhone models via its website, phone sales and with select high street partners. Orange customers interested in the iPhone can sign up for more information on the firm’s pre-registration site.

Hi
I just rang up 3 customer services about a query about my mobile tarrif & i also thought i’d ask him a question about the iphone 3GS.
I asked whether they will ever be having the iphone on 3 uk. I couldnt believe it when he said to me that have…i repeat THEY SAID they got them in stock & i would need to speak to the upgrade team for more info. Unfortunately that dept was closed but he told me to try 2mrw morning as they r open from 8am till 8pm. He also went on to say that it wont be on the website as of yet but definitely said it can be available via the upgrade dept.
I shall try again 2mrw and let you guys know the news.
Happy Dee (for now)
Orange sells iphones in Europe for over a year now. It’s in UK they are starting, so please remember, UK is not Europe.
