Man treats wounds in Haiti using iPhone, Verizon iPhone predicted next week, Final Fantasy headed to iPhone

A man in Haiti has reportedly used an app on his iPhone to help treat wounds received in the massive quake that ravaged the island. The man is named Dan Woolley and he used a first aid app to treat his wounds and the alarm to keep him awake to prevent shock.

Analysts are predicting that the Apple event next week will see a new iPhone announced for the Verizon network. A launch is believed to be set for March.

Games are some of the most popular apps for the iPhone. Classic Final Fantasy I and II titles are said to be heading to the iPhone with graphics and a new UI specifically for the platform.

I have found another first aid app that I would recommend. From a company called RediVideos, this app is for iPhone and Blackberry and features video instructions and first aid information.
