iPhoto loses Google maps, iOS device use up, Scoot Networks uses iPhones





iPhoto on iOS devices has stopped using Google Maps in the latest distancing action between Apple and Google. Instead, Apple is now using its own maps and apparently is not licensing third-party maps.

According to the latest Comscore numbers, the use of iOS and Android smartphones is up. At the same, time the use of BlackBerry and Microsoft mobile phones is down.

Scoot Networks is a new startup in China that offers users the ability to rent electric scooters by the hour. These electric scooters have an iPhone under a waterproof cover that acts as the brains of the entire system.
