IPhone 5 rumors push Apple stock up, little chance of settlement in Samsung versus Apple case, Steve Jobs’ stolen iPad returned

Apple has blamed rumors of next-generation iPhones in the past as a reason for poor quarterly performance. It looks like Apple is getting something good out of iPhone 5 rumors as the company stock price hit a high last week.

The judge presiding over the case between Samsung and Apple asked the two companies to narrow their claims or attempt to reach a settlement before jury deliberation commences. Unsurprisingly, neither company appears willing to do that. I’d hate to be a juror in this case.

Not too long ago someone broke into the home of Steve Jobs and made off with a bunch of stuff including a number of Apple gadgets. The man was caught using the find my iPad feature and later wrote a letter of apology to Jobs’ widow.
