China 4S launch gets violent, Apple fueled clash with delays, NASA mars app

The launch of the iPhone 4S in China was a big deal and drew huge crowds to get the new smartphone. The Apple Store in Sanlitun decided the crowd was too large and opted to not open due to fear of customers and employees being hurt. That led to some in the crowd “abusing” store workers.

After the Chinese launch issues that went on at the iPhone 4S launch with eggs thrown and violence one analyst said the violence was in part Apples fault. Canalys’ Nicole Peng said that Chinese fans don’t want to have to wait for new gadgets.

NASA has launched a cool new app for the iPhone. The app is called Mars Images and shares photos from the Opportunity rover as soon as NASA gets them.
