Google maps for iOS gets updated, Apple said to be in talks with Beats for streaming music service, iBooks opens in Japan

If you use the Google Maps app on your iPhone, an update for the app has come out this week. The app now integrates Google Contacts and shows you the contact address on the map when you search for their name.

We keep hearing that Android is beating Apple iOS in some categories. According to the new MobileMix, study Apple and iOS devices are still on top with the iPhone as the most popular smartphone.

iOS 4.3 may launch today, Kazaa streaming with no app, Philips iPhone/iPod speakers

Word is that iOS 4.3 might be launching today at about 10am. We first learned about iOS 4.3 at the iPad 2 event earlier this month and the new OS will be welcome.

iTunes cloud backup mid-year rumor, Twitter iOS update, Yobongo app

A new rumor has surfaced that claims that a deal is in the works at Apple that will bring universal music access to one iTunes account on multiple devices. It's not a subscription deal apparently and will allow the iPhone, iPod, and iPad 2 to all download music if tied to the same account.
