Last December while at school a child heard a "loud pop", and before long his iPod and pants were on fire. The family of a child in Kentucky is suing Apple as this incident has apparently rendered him unable to "earn income in the future."

Apple is facing yet another lawsuit because of the new iPhone 3G. Its been a lot time since reports of the new iPhone 3G having construction issues causing the back casing to crack. This problem was more easily detected in the white version than the black. The lawsuit also lists AT&T as a defendant.

It's not a localized problem, anymore. It looks like there is a serious manufacturing fault in the new iPhone 3G, specifically, the cases are cracking. The problem seems to be happening primarily in the white phones, but it could effect all of the new 3Gs.
It appears that the metal frame on which the plastic case attaches is too small. ...
