Those that know me are aware of my addiction to World of Warcraft. There have been talks at Blizzard about creating a mobile version of the game, likely as some sort of add-on rather than a full-fledged version. Naturally, the iPhone would be the perfect platform for such a title, however, with a recent merger, it's possible that this project ...

When you go to look for a shiny new app for your iPhone the next time, you'll no doubt notice that there are a ton to choose from. How many? At last count, the App Store had just over 1,000 programs waiting to be downloaded. In around two weeks the number of apps has almost doubled.

Remember that old game where you had a triangular piece of wood with 15 holes and 14 golf tees? You had to jump each peg in such a way that only one was left. I think you can still find those on the tables of your local Cracker Barrel restaurant. Well now you can frustrate yourself with this puzzle on ...

Remember that NES emulator for the iPhone that came out a while back? I personally haven't installed it on my phone (I'm still sorting through all of the free games on the App Store), but I do admit that the thought of playing old-school games on my iPhone would be a ton of fun. Now the team that originally brought ...

We've known for a little while that id Software has made it well known that they are developing for the iPhone. Unfortunately we haven't really heard anything from them since sometime around March. John Carmack (co-founder of id) admits that he's kicking himself for not having anything ready at launch. But don't worry, he's planning on bringing one of id's ...

I'll be honest, I don't watch a ton of TV these days. I've heard bits about a show called Dexter that my friends seem to like (for a minute I thought they were suddenly excited about Dexter's Lab again). Well, it's a show about a serial killer, which seems like it could be interesting. Well there has been talk of ...

In my continuing quest for awesome iPhone games, I came across Korebasi Lite. This is another maze-like game where you use the accelerometer to navigate. You need to move your ball to the crystal while rolling over bonus items like bananas, cherries, clocks and more. You'll also encounter puzzles and enemy balls which will hinder your progress.

Today I decided to download Break, which is a simple brick-breaking game. Think Breakout, only the blocks have little bears, dogs and other “cute” animals on them. You also get power-ups like a wider paddle and extra lives.

We've already heard that several of the larger game studios are shifting some of their energies toward creating games for the iPhone. It's no surprise that more companies are also following suit. Independent engine developer GarageGames has just announced the availability of their Torque engine on the iPhone. This will allow developers provide 2D and 3D environments within iPhone apps. ...

Today I've spent some time playing Labyrinth Lite Edition. I'm sure that most of you had, or at least have seen an old Labyrinth game. Basically what you had was two wooden boxes inside of another box. The inner boxes were each controlled by a different set of knobs, which you would use to tilt the innermost box. You would ...

Since the App Store made its debut with tons of wonderful games, analysts have been wondering just how long it will take before Apple's phone starts eating away at the sales of systems like the PSP and DS. While I admit that the iPhone has great potential for gaming, I don't necessarily think that it's going to greatly affect either ...
