AT&T rumored to get exclusive voicemail features for iPhone

Apple and AT&T are reportedly in talks to add some new and exclusive features for the iPhone. According to sources claiming to be in the know about the new features, they will arrive before the end of the year.

Among the features is a new voicemail setting that will allow users to disable, the custom voicemail greeting, and AT&T voice mail introduction to save people time who need to leave messages. It seems like just ringing and then dumping into voice mail could confuse callers.

Another new feature is an alert that would tell AT&T users when they are exceeding their monthly amount of anytime minutes. Neither of those features sounds like anything particularly useful to lots of users. Perhaps AT&T should concentrate on enhancing their network to support the features we already have.

  1. Steve Rodgers says:

I never exceed my monthly minutes because ATT’s call quality is so crappy.

These “features” aren’t even features. How stupid do they think their customers are?

I’m holding off on getting a new iPhone for a few more months in hope that someone other than ATT will be able to service it.
