Apple has been granted a patent on the cool page turning animation that you see when reading e-books on the company’s gadgets. The patent is called “Display screen of portion thereof animated graphical user interface” and was one of 38 patents issued Apple recently.

Nintendo has launched a new app for iPhone using Pokémon fans in Japan. The app is a Pokedex that tells users about Pokémon characters.

If you’re fed up with Apple’s own maps on your iPhone, the Google-powered map application is almost finished. A person with direct knowledge of the Google Maps app says that they’re putting the “finishing touches” on the app.
