Real or not, here’s another sighting of the images we wrote about a week ago.

I find it odd that the camera is placed on the back side – would make it tough for video chatting should you need to use the phone.
What do you think?

can you say “fake”?
nice job though, bookmarked you if i ever need some photoshop work ;-)
I’m at the point where i dont really care anymore if its the real thing or if its a fake…i just want an iphone!!!
apple doesn’t actually own the trademark for the word “iPhone” Cisco/Linksys do.
and linksys actuallly has loads of iPhones out. look on their website.
now can we cut the bullpoo? if “it” exsits, it will not be called an iphone.
And the “No buttons” does not convnce me
looks fake for the reasons already stated
The reflection shadow of the backside of the phone isn’t aligned correctly. Apple’s designers would never let this pass. Overall it’s a nice design using the information from Apple’s patents, but it’s a bit on the large side. Information from more reliable resources state that the real iPhone is quite small!
Well,
lets asume there WILL be an Apple branded iPod-ish phone anouncement on the 9th (I’m still not convinced until I hear the magic “one more thing” though).
This image might NOT be the REAL phone but a placeholder image that Apple or their ad agency TBWA Chiat/Day produced to work with prior to the true images being shot at last minute. This is not an unusual tactic, especially if you keep in mind how frantic Apple is about leaks.
So. My bets are: this is the real thing. Technically. It will be a true innovation to have a track pad, that changes functionality by demand. I.e. feature backlit numeric keypad in “phone mode” and a click-wheel in “ipod mode”. The camera is on the “outside” because there will be no “video-chat” in the version 1.0 (remember, Apple NEVER delivers all your dreams in the first place, they want you to buy a new product every 12 months!).
Why not a full-size touch-sensitive display? First of all: power consumption. Second: there where rumors before, that Apple has problems with this. Remember the iMac. When the lamp-stand iMac was released, Steve mentioned they had to abandon their design and go back to the drawing board, because they had trouble “to make the cd-drive work vertically”. And how does the current iMac look like!?
So, despite some Jonathan Ive genius (who knows, maybe the full-screen touch-pad is going to happen!?), this is it. IF its really going to happen!
my 2 (Euro)cents ;-)

and that??
Look so real….
