So a few of you (read: almost everyone who bought an iPhone and reads this site) had something to say about my post on September 5th where Apple dropped the iPhone price by a third only 2 months after its release. And then you furthermore had something to say along the rollercoaster from “no rebate for you!” to the final solution of a $100 Apple store gift card.
Apple Rebate Process
Well the instructions for collecting on this rebate are finally available here. Basically you identify your iPhone by phone number and serial number for the first step.

From there you get and SMS with your access code and then enter your phone number and this access code for the second step to receive the credit. Then finally you get a $100 Apple Store credit to use in a retail store or online. Then the next obvious step is to go spend it, I would recommend a $100 iTunes gift card to yourself if you don’t need anything else from the store, or you could send it to me, I won’t argue .
