They also marched on to the tune that Apple is being far too restrictive. They said that if the number of downloads of just the iPhone Dev teams unlocking software are any inclination, then several hundred thousand people are running around with unlocked phones. The package obviously has a bright pink shuffle inside, but it also has a $15 iTunes card and what looks like some information about the organization. I love this time of year, when all the pink gadgets start coming out, because it means you can buy yourself a cool new gadget or toy, and feel good knowing that part of that purchase went to a good cause.

By really late, I actually mean, it hasn’t shown up at all. Nor has Steve Jobs.
This doesn’t bode well for France Telecom (the owners of Orange) who stated a while back that they had already come to an agreement with Apple and they would be carrying the iPhone. The show lasts from the 25th to the 29th, so maybe Steve is just holed up playing Halo 3 and doesn’t want ...

Check the video below from 1:30-3:00 minutes. Its all about Apple and their statement about unlocking iPhones causing irreparable damage and possibly bricking them with the next update.
They even threw in the bit about Steve and Woz being old time hackers of AT&T but said that the believed 10-30% Apple gets from the iPhone contracts makes it worth their while to stop hackers. There was also another nifty little tidbit ...

So the hacking community led you to a free or fee-based unlock of your iPhone, you are zipping along fine with your new carrier, and then you hear the news that if your iPhone is unlocked the next iPhone firmware update could leave your phone busted. What do you do?
The same thing any logical person would, find a way to reverse the unlock and go back and pay your penance ...
