So the hacking community led you to a free or fee-based unlock of your iPhone, you are zipping along fine with your new carrier, and then you hear the news that if your iPhone is unlocked the next iPhone firmware update could leave your phone busted. What do you do?

The same thing any logical person would, find a way to reverse the unlock and go back and pay your penance and ask for re-admittance into the church of AT&T. Well luckily for you, there are far more skilled people out there to help you cover your Apple/AT&T co-branded ass.

There is a gentleman out there who has already come up with what looks like a fairly simple re-locking process for your iPhone. The guy warns that its just tentative, and probably shouldn’t be attempted unless you know what your doing, basically if performing the free unlock, and those necessary steps, were uncharted territory for you, you might want to wait until its been tested, verified, and simplified if possible.

Also, as and added bonus to this article, there is now a mod that allows you to slightly alter the keyboard on the iPhone. The mod is apparently available at modmyiphone and includes the iPhone Shop Tools and a few pre-made keyboard styles.
