So you have a Palm, Windows Mobile, or BlackBerry smartphone and want to switch to an iPhone, MarkSpace is releasing a new software product to make it that much easier. It will ship Q4 this year and is called The Missing Sync.

What it does is transfer lots of data from one of those supported devices to your iPhone. The data that is transfers are things such as the contacts list, tasks, events, photos, and other stuff.

There is another feature where it can begin syncing call log, SMS messages, and Notes from your iPhone to your computer allowing you to search them ala iChat. The call logs can be exported and used for various business purposes. There is even a section at the end of the process where you can wipe and prepare the device for another user.

The software will be shipping in Q4 for $40 for a download or $50 and a few more weeks wait for a CD. They will also be offering discounts for those who already own The Missing Sync for one of their other systems. Sadly this software only works with OSX Tiger 10.4.10 or later, no windows support.
