Remember Operation Fine Edge? That's AT&T's new project to boost speeds of their EDGE network so that they will be much faster. The operation was said to be completed by June 15th which has come and gone without anyone noticing any big differences. Until now.

Something that we touched on briefly was the apparent lack of custom ringtones on the iPhone. Back in January we were certain that you'd be able to use your own songs to customize your ring, but lately there has been much speculation on whether or not that will happen.

At this point in time, I think it's safe to say that Nindendo is really the king of mobile gaming. It's nothing personal Sony, but the DS is kicking your butt. So if you had to pick someone to design games for the iPhone, who would you want? Nintendo would be my choice.

Well, maybe it's not an iPhone per se, but if this rumor were to hold true we could see an Apple device with similar technology in upcoming Mercedes vehicles.
This rumor comes to us courtesy of a German magazine called FOCUS. They recently reported that the automotive company will equip their vehicles with “a Navigation System from Apple’s design-laboratories starting in 2009. After six months other car manufacturers shall follow”

It looks like AT&T won't be selling the iPhone at as many of their locations as we had originally thought. Our previous information told us over 2,000 stores total, which would encompass all Apple stores and most AT&T stores. That may not now be the case.
