At this point in time, I think it's safe to say that Nindendo is really the king of mobile gaming. It's nothing personal Sony, but the DS is kicking your butt. So if you had to pick someone to design games for the iPhone, who would you want? Nintendo would be my choice.

According to rumor, they are doing just that. They are apparently working on licensing new content specifically for the iPhone. The biggest trouble is that the iPhone doesn't actually have buttons for gaming. Nintendo already has experience working with touchscreens, so they will no doubt be able to come up with a solution. One such solution mentioned was an on-screen D-pad.
Pricing for these titles would be around $29 and they would be downloaded via the iTunes store. I really hope this comes to pass. Though I'm not sure if it would make me stop carrying my DS everywhere.
Nintendo and Apple to partner on games for iPhone [via noheat]

No way this ever happens. Why would nintendo cannibalize their own profits to put games on the iPhone. Sounds like fanboy wishful thinking. If anyone makes games for the iPhone it will be EA.
how would u play a game like that on and i phone with a stylus cause there aren’t enuf buttons i could see games like chess checkers etc. card and board but come on that is why the have psps ds and other mobile gaming you ifreaks are asking 4 too much

What if game developers can leverage or make use of all the sensors in the iPhone to make it sort of like the wiimote? Say for example if you’re playing Mario Bro, slightly moving the right hand side of the iPhone down will move the character forward while tilting the left side will slow it down. Or if you need to jump, simply raise up the iPhone or lower it to crouch down. The sky’s the limit – if only Apple would allow 3rd party developers to join in on the fun!
how can we put games on the iphone and if u can will it be free?
