iPhone to get security patch next week?

by Chris Davies on July 27, 2007

Speculation froths that Apple will be releasing a sweet little iPhone patch next week which, although not making your handset look like a pirate, will plug a few of those embarrassing security holes: one of which is set to be detailed at next week's Black Hat 2007 conference.   continued »

AT&T paying Apple up to $415 for each iPhone sold

by Chris Davies on July 24, 2007

Considering Apple was adamant that the iPhone wouldn't be carrier-subsidised (the usual practise of selling a handset cheaply with a new contract, the operator making the money back via call charges and line rental), AT&T's pockets must still be feeling light after news emerged that they're paying Jobs & co between $150 and $200 for each handset sold.   continued »

T-Mobile Germany leaking again: this time iPhone photos

by Chris Davies on July 20, 2007

Looks like someone in charge of managing the T-Mobile Germany website has been doing some further preparation for the iPhone's appearance, after an iPhone page was put up and then taken down a few days ago.  Two image files have been spotted, one a stock photo of the Apple cellphone (http://www.t-mobile.de/T-D1/img/display_image/0,3465,96201,00.jpg) and the other an image of the phrase "Das neue Kult-Handy!" Microsoft Exchange support for iPhone in next two months?

by Chris Davies on July 12, 2007

One of our more active posts here on MYiTablet is Vincent's guide to setting up Exchange on the iPhone.  Now it's not a proper push-email solution, so don't go rushing over there and then become upset and belligerent, but according to Sven Rafferty we should only have a month or two to wait until Apple flicks the switch on a Direct Push upgrade. continued »

iPhone battery myth clarified: 80% power left after 400 charges

by Chris Davies on July 11, 2007

Do bloggers take things too literally? That's one of the questions being asked today, as various news sources shuffle their feet nervously and say "um" a lot when faced with how they've reported the iPhone's battery life. The key is how the iPhone's battery life was initially reported - as being good for 300 - 400 charge cycles after which it would need replacing - and how something ... continued »
