While 90% of Japanese might not show interest for the 3G iPhone (Based on iSHARE survey), it doesn’t mean the upcoming phone from Apple will tank in Japan. Softbank, the carrier that will provide the 3G iPhone said it would be selling the phone at 23,040 yen or roughly $215 up to 34,560 yen.

Okay, this is not really an iPhone hacked to run WM6, but in China, there is a phone that looks awfully similar to the iPhone. It is identical with some minor differences. This is one of the best Chinese iPhone imitation I've seen.

Yesterday Apple announces its partnership with O2 to sell iPhone in UK, and today Apple introduces T-Mobile as its partner for the iPhone carrier in Germany. The launch date for Germany will be the same as UK on November 9th. The iPhone requires a new 2-year T-Mobile tariff and will be available in an 8GB model for €399 including tax.

Many media outlet are reporting that the version 1.1.1 of iPhone firmware update is coming. Based on the photos posted by Engadget, there are some new features and settings will be available for the iPhone on this update.

Apple picked O2 as its UK carrier partner for the iPhone. During the Apple UK event today, Apple announced pricing of the iPhone, and it is 269 pounds. They will be available in time for Christmas by November 9th.

Apple posted iPhone Battery Replacement Program on its site today. iPhone owners with dead batteries can have it replaced for a $79 service fee and $6.95 shipping and handling fee.
Apple will replace the battery if only the iPhone shows no damages caused by abuse or accident. Apple warned battery replacement will erase all data on the iPhone and recommend users to backup their data using iTunes sync.
