The Bluetooth headset jobs introduced at Macworld Expo is now listed on the company’s website as supporting Bluetooth 2.0 with EDR. According to the image below, the iPhone Bluetooth headset is “remarkably compact” and should release along side of several iPhone accessories when the iPhone becomes available in June.

The updated web page also confirms the iPhone will support the 802.11b and g wireless standards.

So how will this work listening to music if theres just one bud? To me, the best thing about bluetooth 2.0 is the stereo support.
Also, any speculation as to how this thing charges? Those holes in the bottom could be contacts, but thats also where the mic needs to be. That induction charging dock would be really nice.
The black Bluetooth headset is for talking only and probably not for listening to music. Bluetooth 2.0 with EDR enable means the iPhone is compatible with any Bluetooth headsets such as the Etymotic ety8.
I believe the white earbuds will come with the iPhone. It’s wire, but will allow users to listen to music with a mic built-in for conversations.

Apple has an opportunity to mollify ripoff-averse potential customers like myself: include the Bluetooth headset with the iPhone. By including the Bluetooth headset they could simultaneously save face (and keep their high price) and offer better value.
