Telkomsel announced that iPhone 3G will go on sale at 8PM on March 20 (one day ahead of my prediction) at Pacific Place, Sudirman Street, South Jakarta. iPhone fans can buy the shiny devices during two days launch event at the Jakarta’s new hang-out place.
Opening Hours at Pacific Place, new entrance at the South Pavilion :
March 20: 8:00PM – Midnight
March 21: 10:00AM – 10:00PM
March 22: 10:00 AM – 10:00PM
Starting Monday (March 23), the Apple’s device will also be available from official distributors across the wider Jakarta area, while the country’s biggest operator will roll out sales nationwide from Saturday March 28 (please check-out www.telkomsel.com/iphone/wheretobuy).

Telkomsel will offer a number of local iPhone apps which can be downloaded for free for a limited time from the Apple App store. These local apps include: TransJakarta (Jakarta busway information), Aphrodite (world sport schedule), Jakarta Globe (daily English news), BuUuk (recommended culinary places in Jakarta and Bali), Foyage (local city map), Detikcom (news), Angklung (music), SCTV (national TV), Kapanlagi.com (lifestyle and entertaiment site), Macetlagi.com (traffic monitoring portal and content streaming) and Kompas (daily Indonesian news).
