Steve Ballmer at WWDC 2010 rumor, Apple passes Microsoft in market cap, Firefox Home for iPhone

With all the leaks surrounding the iPhone 4G or HD assuming the device is actually unveiled at WWDC 2010 next month there will be little that Apple can do to surprise us. One rumor that would surprise me is that Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer is going to be on stage.

Apple has now passed Microsoft in market cap. Microsoft is thought to have a market cap of $219.18 billion and Apple has $222.84 billion. This is a significantly milestone for both companies.

Mozilla has announced that it is developing Firefox Home for the iPhone. The app syncs bookmarks and other items with a desktop browser.

But Microsoft still have higher profits than Apple. Recent annual net profit was $14.6bn, with $5.7bn for Apple.

And Microsoft reports bigger full year revenues at $58.4bn, with Apple at $36.5bn.
