Sling Player gets 3G streaming, AT&T iPhone mess, Cisco voice-over-WiFi app

The Sling Player app on the iPhone has been missing one key feature for many users — 3G streaming. That missing feature has now been added back with testing of a new 3G streaming version of the app underway.

BusinessWeek is talking about the mess that is the AT&T network and the iPhone. The publication points to the popularity of the iPhone as one of the main causes of issues with the network.

Cisco is set to update its iPhone app to allow voice-over-WiFi calls to be placed. Cisco expects the app to be popular for companies that don’t want to buy as many mobile minutes.
