A new second generation of the robot is on Kickstarter now seeking funding to tweak the software to bring more functionality to the robot, which is controlled by an iPhone or other Apple gadget.

Uber has announced that it is killing off its taxi cab hailing application for the iPhone in New York City. The company blames the city’s Taxi and Limousine Commission and notes that it’s private car hailing application is still available in the city.
