———————–End
Here’s the list of things that Steve’s going to address in his keynote speech at Macworld 2007. As you can see, there’s not one thing mentioning of the iPhone in the list below. Keep in mind that the list I just got in is unverified – so the info may be inaccurate.

(Blank) asked me to send this to you guys cause she couldn’t send it tonight. Let me or (blank) know if you have questions or email. You guys broke the “iPhone” story, but I guess there’s no truth to any iPhone from apple!

  • Introduction to audience members
  • Sales/Stores Numbers and Results
  • iTunes Store: Movies are introduced in UK (Disney movies), while 20th Century
  • Fox movies are added to US store.
  • iTV discussion. Stress that iTV is still the internal code-name and it will change by launch date.
  • The iTV is revised and is now taller, and includes an iPod dock at the back. At the back of the iTV unit there is a small gap of about an inch that has the dock connector inside. This is to ensure the iPod is connected securely. Browse files using iTV.
  • iTV will allow ANY files in iTunes to play on your TV.
  • Leopard: Explanation of features that were released in the seeds (Such as Resolution Independence and iChat Answering Machine).
  • Introduces new Black Cherry theme to replace Aqua. Discussion and Video.
  • Announces Both iTV and Leopard will be launched on Tuesday March 27th.
  • New Displays announced: HDMI and iSight built in. 17″ is introduced. Jobs then announces that price is not compromised, even with the added iSight and HDMI. All displays are $75 more than previous generation.

Steve’s One More Thing…

New iPod is released. 3.5 Inch screen, Bluetooth. NOT a touch-screen. Controlled through invisible “touchstrip” on the top side of the iPod that corresponds to symbols that appear on the upper portion of the iPod screen. 30GB $300, 80GB $400
THERE IS NO “IPHONE” at this event.

  1. Not Possible says:

This is possibly a diversion…per Jason D. O’Grady…here’s O’Grady’s thoughts on the iPhone via MacDailyNews.com

“There have been reports around the Web that Apple’s much-rumored iPhone has been delayed and/or that it’ll be a flop,” Jason D. O’Grady blogs for ZDNet. “Then it occurred to me – could iPhone be a diversion?”

“Apple engages in a fair amount of misinformation in the lead up to Macworld Expo San Francisco too. They’ve been known to selectively leak plausible-sounding stories to various rumor sites around the Web to throw us off the scent. Sometimes there are so many different Macworld Expo rumors that it’s virtually impossible to tell the credible from the decoys,” O’Grady writes. “What if iPhone is just a decoy?”

    Full article here.

  2. Paul says:

Well it looks like I’ll be getting a Sony Walkman Phone then. My current contract is up but I’ll wait until right after the Keynote. Too bad, I’ll also be selling my iPod Nano as I won’t be needing it anymore. The Sony Walkman phone even has a FM radio. This is a Bummer Apple!

  3. Boris says:

At Macworld Steve usually announces iLife upgrade. There is no mention of iLife in the list, so I do not think it is real :)

  4. I find several things very difficult to believe about this description.

First, I don’t think there has ever been a keynote without new Macs being announced. The consumer Macs seem pretty up to date at the moment but I think the Mac Pro is about ready for a quad-core dual processor announcement. Apple’s competitors already have such a machine, and I don’t think Apple would want to be left behind on that front.

First and a half. To announce new displays – which only the professional types are interested in – would be almost unprecedented without new Macs to go with them.

Second. I don’t think Apple can cost-effectively make a 17″ Cinema Display, nor do I think they would want to. They would have to sell it for about $300-400 in today’s market and I don’t think there’s any profit in that for them. A 17″ iMac, which has a stronger processor, would be cheaper than a less powerful Mac Mini + a 17″ Apple display. I don’t see Apple as going that route.

Third, while a black cherry theme might be attractive there is something about it that doesn’t feel Mac-like. There might be more colors added but I think Aqua as the default theme is here to stay.

Finally, they would not use the code name of ITV. They would use the launch name, whatever it is. This alone makes me feel that we’re not looking at a real list of talking points, because an authentic list would have the code names removed and the description of Leopard more fleshed out. I think this was made by someone who knows no more about what will actually happen than I do.

    Hope that was interesting.

  5. Required says:

Anyone expecting a) an ‘iPhone’ and b) Apple to abandon the iconic iPod touch wheel is an idiot.

  6. joel says:

Apple did away with the “Power” part of PowerBook at the last Macworld Expo. Perhaps Steve will do the same with “i” Pod and go with something completely new like “Mobile Me” – which they own the trademark.

  7. Jon Rubin says:

What makes me suspect this is a fake is the iPod announcement. Apple almost always makes iPod announcements at separate media events. Ever since the first Windows-compatible iPod, and especially since they separated the product line out to its own division, Apple has consistently shied away from tying the iPod line directly to the Mac line. Part of this is not announcing new iPods at MacWorld. Which means iPhone would be out of place at MacWorld as well. Oh yeah, and 10.5 by March? I doubt it…

  8. Required says:

Except the Mobile Me trademark got slapped down.

Let me tell you: you don’t MESS with what’s not broken. Apple’s learned this lesson the hard way. Steve’s not stupid.

  9. John says:

Fun but not believable. I doubt that the content of the keynote is settled till the day before the keynote. There have been stories that Steve has even dropped things the day of the keynote.

  10. john says:

the mobile me didn’t get slap down. apple owns the mark which was approved in hong kong – thru 2015. don’t have link but will post later.

the hong kong filing date was 2005 which superceded the US filing date.

as far as don’t mess with a good thing, there was nothing wrong with the powerbook – why change or fix it? look at the macbook and macbook pro sporting intel…one helluva machine.

  11. John says:

THIS IS A TERRIBLE THING… if you are a mac fan you would not post such damaging things to a blog… ie:… a phone not being released etc… this is a horrible thing to do… if my stock goes down i am totally going after you!!!

  12. deepkid says:

some of you need to use os x’s dictionary to distinguish between rumor and fact. the above wasn’t supplied through an offical apple press release nor an official spokesperson. get a grip.

  13. blash says:

    HAHA!!!!!!

totally fuzzing wrong. OMG. the iPhone is gonna rule.

Whoever your source is, (s)he’s going down. Way down.

    http://www.apple.com

  14. Joe says:

Do you all feel stupid yet?

  15. Keep in mind that this WAS NOT my prediction but a tip that came into myiphone!
