Kiwi WiFi turns iPhone into car tool, iCam app unveils burglar, new Kensington accessories

A company called Kiwi has a new app that turns your iPhone into a device for monitoring your car. A hardware device plugs into the OBDII port on your car and lets the app measure performance and other aspects of your vehicles operation for $149.99.

A Texas man was gone on vacation when his iCam iPhone app alerted him to activation of the motion sensors in his home. The man saw a criminal break into his home and called the police who were unable to catch the crook.

Kensington has unveiled several new accessories that work with the iPhone 4 and the iPhone 3G/3GS smartphones. The new accessories include several chargers for the home and office along with car mounts.
