iPhone Firmware 1.1.1 features uncovered





Many media outlet are reporting that the version 1.1.1 of iPhone firmware update is coming. Based on the photos posted by Engadget, there are some new features and settings will be available for the iPhone on this update.

Lists of new settings and features after the jump…

- Home Button Preferences – Home, Phone Favorites, iPod, Show iPod Controls
- International Prefs – keyboards, region format
- TV Out – Widescreen, NTSC options, Closed Captioning
- Edge Roaming – on and off
- Wifi iTunes Store
- Carrier Preference – (present on current iPhones and only available when roaming)

    MMS support would be a nice addition….I used to use it quite a lot but now, not at all. I’d never trade my ipod functions for it but it sure would be a nice addition since it is 2007 and all…

    I just want Flash support. It would be a nice addition since Flash is used in so many sites. MMS would be great too.

    Has anyone ever heard of VOICE DIALING? Its something that all smartphones have, but the iPhone doesn’t – I can’t use my iPhone in my car at all because it doesn’t have these hands-free features. Any word on when we might get this standard-on-every-other-phone feature?
