iHome iP3 iPhone dock, patent tips sensors for iPhone, 1.4M customers for Verizon with iPhone?

iHome has unveiled a new iPhone speaker dock that charges the phone and lets you play music at the same time called the iP3. The device is notable for DSP processing and 50W of power.

A patent has surfaced from Apple that shows a method of putting new sensors onto the iPad and iPhone. The patent outlines a way to get context specific controls on the devices among other uses.

According to Credit Suisse if Verizon gets the iPhone it could land a cool 1.4 million new subscribers as a result. Credit Suisse still says that the number of people leaving AT&T if that happens will not be that bad.
