China Unicom takes 100,000 iPhone 5 pre-orders, jOBS film to debut in late January, iTunes comes to 56 new countries

Chinese mobile carrier China Unicom started taking pre-orders this week on the iPhone 5 for a December 14 launch. Reports indicate that the Chinese carrier racked up 100,000 pre-orders for the device the first day it was available.

Griffin has announced a new line of third-party Lightning Cables for the new iPhone 5. The cables in the Griffin line range in cost from $17 up to about $30.
