AutoDesk is the company behind the commonly used CAD applications that engineers spend lots of time with. Years ago, I spent a few years in engineering school before I remembered that I hate math. One of the things we learned the first year was how to sketch, the reason as my instructor put it was that some of the best engineering breakthroughs have been drawn on napkins at lunch.

AutoDesk has announced a new iPhone app that can be your digital napkin called SketchBook Mobile. The app is available on the App Store now for $2.99 and offers a full set of sketching tools in a streamlined and intuitive user interface.
Key features of the app include the ability for one sketch to have up to six layers. The app has 25 different preset brushes and customizable brush settings. Colors can also be customized within the app.
