AppNinjas card swipe used by girl Scouts, iOS 4.3 hints at iPhone 5 processor, Square says VeriFone claims not accurate





AppNinjas has announced that it has tied up with the Girl Scouts in Ohio to allow the scouts to sell cookies and charge using credit cards. The AppNinjas Swipe and app are being used to handle the card payments.

Geeks have found hints in iOS 4.3 firmware about the processor that will be in the iPhone 5. According to some lines in the firmware the iPhone 5 is thought to be using the same dual-core processor that the iPad 2 sports.

Square has struck back at VeriFone and claims that the allegations made yesterday are not fair or accurate. VeriFone claimed yesterday that the Square card swiper left card data open to theft.
