AAA Roadside Assistance app sends location info

If your luck is anything like mine, you probably don’t have car trouble or flat tires when you are in your own city where you have people to come help you. The trouble always happens when you’re in a far away city and have no friends to call.

AAA has roadside assistance for just such occasions, but the problem is that if you are in an unfamiliar place telling the roadside assistance person how to get to you can be hard. AAA has a new application for the iPhone called AAA Roadside that users can use to send roadside assistance requests directly to AAA.

The cool thing is that the app also grabs GPS location info from your phone to tell the dispatcher where you are and route assistance. A while you are waiting feature lets users search for local repair shops near them as well as Hertz rental locations. You can also join AAA directly from the app.
