The price on the 8GB iPhone has been dropped a full $200 to $399. Better yet, the 4GB one has been dropped completely.

So if cost was ever a factor in you buying that iPhone you know you have a deep seated passion and longing for, that will be less of a problem now. Of course, if you’ve just bought an iPhone at the previous $599 price, you’re probably a bit mad right now.

f**king A!!!!!! Are you kiding us?!?!?! If we would have waite 3 months (less for those who waited until July/Aug), we could have saved $200!? >_
Bought 2 iphones opening night… was quickly converting me to apple products, planning on the new imac for christmas for the kiddies..
NOT NOW… lesson learned, thanks steve-O….
wtf apple… screw the early adopters!! let me cancel the macbook pro i just ordered!
I essentially spent an extra $3 per day to have all of the functionality of the iPhone for the last 2 months.
I can live with that.
Early adopters pay a premium to be first in line.
Have a little perspective for God’s sake.
You gotta pay to play first!
This is plain price gouging. 33% after 2 months? Are you fucking kidding me? I ordered an imac yesterday and was planning to get a new ipod classic this weekend. I just cancelled my imac order and won’t be getting that new ipod. Guess I’ll be saving my money now. Thanks Steve for fucking us over.
fuck you steve you know to think that all the people that you had waiting in line to get these phones all the $400 millon dollar hype would have been enough but no you just had to do this to us poor iphone customers this iPhone is not like any other phone and you cant play it off to be like one then u go and make an iPod that does everything but the phone application apple is a joke i hope his stocks go to shit now everyones going to have an iphone and its gonna lose all of its glory
They really need to step up to the plate and do some damage control here. I think $200 iTunes gift certificates to all current iPhone owners would go a LONG way in goodwill.
But then, they’d be admitting they screwed up…and their stock price would suffer. So what will it be, Apple?
Well that sucks! I agree that shafting your early adopters so soon is NOT cool! Maybe after 6 months or a year, but 2-3 months is bullshit! I agree with the iTunes gift card idea. I’d be cool with that, and it would get people into the habit of buying from the iTunes store.
Way to go!!! I paid a high price for the iphone, and instead of getting new programs\updates we got a slapped on both cheeks !!! ($200 !!) in less than 3 months!!! It is that the way you show loyalty to your products??? I learned my lesson :) Thank you apple
well atleast i got mine for free thank you imagination inc or i would have been mad
this is unreal, i have the feeling in my stomach right now that i had the first time i dropped the thing and put a dent in the top. Now i have to look at that and realize that its not as durable as avertised, that the nice “medical glass” screen that scratches from 1′ of the ground, and that we all got shafted with $200 bucks. Oh, and the icing on the cake is this is my second iPhone and Safari still crashes all the time and freezes. Now im pissed after typing this. This $600 do it all phone makes me want to throw up right about now. I wish they would just let me trade this thing in on a new macbook or something. AHH!!

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
You guys are honestly upset because Apple is passing along savings to the consumer? This is what being an early adopter is all about. Apple didn’t screw you when you bought yours, they’re doing everyone that is thinking about buying one a favor. You’d rather them just gouge everyone else just to make you feel better.
Have any of you ever bought a high-end graphics card when it first came out? After a couple of months it’s outdated and goes for maybe half of what it originally sold for. That’s just how it is.
Grow up and quit your whining. Now I’m going to go buy me an iPhone because they’re actually cheap enough to afford now.
What disheartens me is Apple’s inconsistency. I have a friend that ordered his iPhone online 2 months ago. He called 1-800-MYAPPLE yesterday and was told that he would be reimbursed $150. This is after speaking to ~8 people at Apple customer service. I was told by Apple customer service that buying from Apple online provides you with 2 weeks of a price protection gurantee. Again, my friend bought his 2 months ago. Really, what is it? Why just for online purchasers? I still have my ATT receipt. Oh well…
fuck you apple. i’m never going to early adopt your shit again!
you raped us! my anus hearts cause you didnt use any lube!
the least you could have done is put the fucking phone on a decent network! AT&T is fucking hell!
eat a dick Steve jobs!
