If you are a fan of Spore, then Spore Origins for the iPhone and iPod touch will surely be on your must-have list. And this isn't a port, either. It's an entirely original game for the mobile format that makes full use of the unique iPhone platform.

The object of the game is to help your creature evolve. By using the Creature Editor, you can come up with a unique being that can survive in the primordial world of gameplay. Once you start playing, your task is to navigate through the "ooze," eat and run away from things that are stronger than you. The accelerometer plays a large role in navigating throughout the game, as does the touch functions, especially when designing your own creature.

Besides Spore Origins, EA Mobile also announced several other titles that will be coming to the iPhone including EA Mini Golf, Lemonade Tycoon, SimCity, The Sims 3, Tiger Woods PGA TOUR 09 and more.

Disclaimer: I’m one of the NaviSPORE developers :-)
If you have a buck to spend and have an iPhone/iPod Touch, Apple has just approved NaviSPORE (http://www.navispore.com), the only iPhone app that lets you see your Creations in 3D. As described in the link, NaviSPORE is community-driven: if you want to see your Creation, send the COLLADA file and associated textures as a zip file to us via mycreation@navispore.com (using the Spore COLLADA cheat). Give it a name, one that hasn’t already been taken in our model bank.
