The creator of this ad is clearly misinformed or in denial. It’s pretty obvious many features of the iPhone were left out. Notice there’s no mention of longer battery life, capacitive touch-screen featuring gestures, next generation user interface, WiFi, cover flow, and the list goes on and on.

Cover flow is one of many cool features on the iPhone. Apple will soon make it available on your iPod via a firmware update. The tipster tipping Gizmodo off did not reveal when to expect the firmware and warned not to expect any new-generation iPods before the iPhone debuts.

Regular readers may be aware that the guys behind SlashGear/SlashPhone/MYiPhone/Unbox.IT (among others) have been involved in a domain name dispute with Motorola since October last year. The URL in question is MOTORAZR.com, which we registered back in July 2004, and has been a source of cellphone related news ever since.

Quantum Research, a developer of capacitive sensors for user interface, officially stated it is not yet filing legal suit against Apple regarding Apple’s iPhone.

It's amazing how a product can be outdated before it even hits the market. Ok, the iPhone won't be outdated when it hits the market, but potential European customers may have good reason to put off their purchase for a few months.
