As we anxiously await Tuesday for the "Let's Rock" iPod event from Apple, all we can do is speculate. But now, rumor has it that we'll see two major software updates on the big day. We'll most likely see iTunes 8.0 released on September 9th, which is expected to have a few new cool features like "Genius," which recommends music to you, HD-quality TV episodes for purchase and grid view. ... continued »

It seems Apple has picked up yet another patent application. Speed Up the iPhone Back-Up Process

by Brenda Stokes on July 29, 2008

Strangely enough, their download page has listed the current version as 7.7 for an hour or two, though the link only gave you 7.6. iTunes updater still thinks that my version 7.6.2 is up-to-date as well. continued »

Use your iPhone to remotely control iTunes

by Chris Scott Barr on June 27, 2008

I've thought for some time that it would be awesome if I could control iTunes from my iPhone. I tend to just let my tunes play throughout my house, as my speakers can be heard throughout most of the house. Unfortunately when I want to pause the music or change a song, I have to run to my computer. Well it seems that Apple already has something up their sleeve ... continued »

by ashoperon on May 29, 2008

The anticipation is quickly mounting as WWDC draws ever closer. Apple's yesterday release of the latest firmware for the iPhone, 2.0 beta 6, revealed something interesting about the new iPhone. The icon was also found in the latest version of Leopard, 10.5.3, which was released to Mac owners yesterday. The icon looks very similar to the current iPhone. continued »
