iJailBreak

by James Allan Brady on October 15, 2007

AriX, a gentleman from our sister site, Apple-Touch.com, took the time to automate the jailbreak process for Mac Intel users by making iJailBreak. Sure, judging from the title, you might think it was for the iPhone, but not so much, its for the iPod Touch, the iPhone’s service provider free cousin. Word is, he is working on versions for PPC based Macs, and then he’ll likely begin work on a version ... continued »

Watch for Nano accessories

by Dallas Taylor Baker on October 6, 2007

The drastic change of shape with the new generation of nano has brought out new ideas for accessories. After going from tall and skinny to short and fat, the nano now vaguely resembles  the face of a watch. So obviously the race is on for who is going to have the hot new wrist-mount accessory. Honestly I don’t even think that the demand for a wrist case would even be there, but ... continued »

by James Allan Brady on September 27, 2007

The package obviously has a bright pink shuffle inside, but it also has a $15 iTunes card and what looks like some information about the organization. I love this time of year, when all the pink gadgets start coming out, because it means you can buy yourself a cool new gadget or toy, and feel good knowing that part of that purchase went to a good cause. Another upside, is all ... continued »

by James Allan Brady on September 26, 2007

So you remember that hacker I told you about the other day? Martyn was his name, the guy was supposed to be dumping the code off of a broken iPod Touch. The hacking will continue, more underground though if I had to guess, but read on for the juicy details of what happened to Martyn. Well not so much anymore, I mean, he still got it done, and he was even ... continued »

iPod Touch hacking progress update

by James Allan Brady on September 25, 2007

So some guy who is apparently a coding monkey, but highly evolved, has finally gotten his hands on an iPod Touch, granted it has a busted screen, but he is really just using it to dump all the firmware and all that good stuff. The gentleman’s name is “Martyn” and he traded some poor lady who had a broken iPod Touch that wasn’t covered under the warranty for a working ... continued »
